Root [International] Trouble installing Cyanogenmod on a Galaxy S3

Hi all,
I've decided to flash my S3. I am following the guide here
I get to step 8 and when I put the line "How to Install CyanogenMod on the Samsung Galaxy S III (International) ("i9300") – CyanogenMod[1] " I get:
I/O error 87: [87] The parameter is incorrect
I can't find anything on how to fix this issue , any tips? I have tried making sure the device is seen by Heimdall and it can see it. I have also tried the recovery command in upper and lower case

The people ar Cyanogen (the ones who wrote the ROM) would know exactly what the error means, and what to do about it.

If you're running Windows, did you get any error at any point in step 4? If you did, you're not running the right driver for Heimdall, which would throw an I/O error.
