Root [International] Will I need to unroot and reset counter?

So basically I cracked my screen so as I have insurance I will be claiming it.

My phone currently is unrooted (but the counter is custom because I rooted), it still works. So they will repair it or replace it.

Should I root again and set counter to zero or is it fine like this? It's only an insurance company

Since its the insurance company paying for the repair, it shouldnt matter mate. Unless theyve started putting anythin in the small print

T&C is what counts. The only way to know is reading through the policy checking if modified phones are exempt. Each insurance is different. Even if you reset the counter and it shows official status , bear in mind that, depending on your ROM, Android itself might still show custom (device status). If unsure just root again, create a nandroid, run Triangle away, shutdown stock ROM and factory reset, making sure that both phone and android are official. But like I say, read the T&Cs.

I read it, didn't find anything. Could you have a read? http://www.lloydstsb.com/assets/media/pdfs/platinum_benefits_policy.pdf#page=5

its generally safer to unroot the phone before giving it to anybody. If u can manage to unroot it i would suggest you do so. Which version of android are you running? On 4.1.2 to un root you would need to run triangle away and then when the phone is restarting pull the battery and then flash the official firmware otherwise the counter would reset to one again.

I'm running 4.1.2 yes, so is this what I'm meant to do?

Root --> Triangle Away and when restarting don't let it turn on? right? And then how do I flash official software? While the phone is off?

i was just checking it if you have the latest version of triangle away u dont need to do the battery pull u can just use the reset option then restart into download mode and flash the stock firmware.

I'm going to download Triangle Away so it should be the latest version?
