Internet chat

I was using a watch shop website and there was one of those facilities to chat with a customer service rep. When I clicked on the text box, the keyboard wouldn't come up. It suggested it was a google talk chat box so installed google talk but still no joy - any ideas?

Those are sometimes Java applets, which the browser does not have a plugin for.

Sometimes they can be Flash or pure JavaScript, in which case the browser should work, but it sounds like you stumbled upon a Java-based one.

Ironic that Java doesn't work on Android heh :)

website is scheron.com

If you click on live chat, you'll see the problem - I am using the galasxy tab 10.1 btw - someone moved the post....

I moved the post as this isn't really specific to the Galaxy Tab but more Android in general.

Figured you'd get more replies here, but truth be told if the website doesnt work, it doesnt work, it is unlikely anyone can fix that for you :(

Having looked at the website it actually looks like the google chat webpage widget - which should be mostly javascript. However it says they are unavailable to chat (this is from Firefox, Windows 7 desktop).
