internet connection via PC problems

I'm a quite happy user of wildfire s. My only problem at the moment is connection to the internet via PC (Wire or bluetooth)
I can't connect for some reason. any ideas why?

Try to install 2 app the frist one is easytether to install the drivers for htc phones and u can use to connect to internet and pdanet. Both app can be found on android market for free
