I've got an Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) and when i connect to wifi I've got internet. But after a few hours i can't acces anyting except Whatsapp and Spotify. If I load an web page it gives the error DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG. Does anybody know how to fix this.
When the internet works it says 38 MB/s and when wifi doesn't work it says Network error. We have switched the modem a few times because we had other problems and nobody else has the problem.Did you try unplugging (re-booting) your router?
Also, run a speed test (speedtest.net, free from the play store) when it's working and again when it won't connect.
I am using Chrome. But other apps like YouTube and Asphalt 8 also don't workWhat browser are you using? If 2 apps are running OK off wifi, so should your browser....
I have prepaid so I can't use mobile data. Chrome is my build in browser, I already installed Firefox so I can use it when internet disappears again. I use build in wifi from my modem which is an understatement, we also bave an Linksys router but when I use that one I've got the same problem. If you cannot get your Wi-Fi to work, try using the following connections:
- 3G / 4G (LTE) / EDGE, depending on your mobile data usage limit, and terms as stated on the contract of your service provider
You can also try the following:
- Chrome is proved to be faster than IE on your computer, but is definitely not faster than any mobile phone browser. Try using your in-built browser.
- Provide the brand of your router, and I will give you some recommendations on routers you can purchase.
- If you have changed your Wi-Fi router recently and the same problem pops up, get your device checked by an Android specialist. The problem may be with the Wi-Fi radio in your device.
Sorry to say this, but the only solution is to part with your device for a few days and get it checked.
