Help Internet Force Closes?

This issue just started and I can't figure out what went wrong..
Whenever I open my internet on my phone, it force closes. It's only my home page (google.com) that it can't open.. if I can stop the page from loading/force closing fast enough I can get into my bookmarks and open another page..

has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?

if your unrooted, just go in settings > Applications > (APP) and click clear data and uninstall the app then redownload it.

if you are rooted you can "fix permissions"

I probably should have said this before...

I'm unrooted, everything is stock. And this is the native browser app,.. I've never seen an update for it in the market, nor have I seen it in the market so I don't know if I'm able to uninstall/redownload it?

you cant until you root but just clear data. restart phone with a battery pull. if that doesnt work then let us know.

I had this problem too---it was trying to connect to I think the Droid version of Google-something like google.com/client blah blah blah and not simply google.com.

The only way I was able to get my browser to work again is before you get the time out pop-up, try to bring up your bookmarks---try to go to ANY other page. It took me a few times but I was able to finally get it to connect to another website & then I was able to manually go to Google.com. Once I was there, I added that as a new bookmark. Has been better since I did that on 10/21.

Hope you can get to that bookmark option fast enough! Good luck

That's what I realized I had to do, and half the time I was able to beat the clock.
I tried many battery pulls and things like that and I cleared the data, but that didn't help. But now it's back to normal? Silly phone... I went into a VZW store to show them and see if they had a fix for it, and all of a sudden it starts working normally. Oh well.. thanks for the help guys I'll post here again if the problem starts up again!
