Help Internet home page problems

I have had my phone for a couple months now. Today when I used the internet I ran into a problem.

After an internet search, I pressed return to get back to the home page. When I got there (Google) it keep refreshing on it's own over and over. I was not able to stop it unless I pressed the X to the left of the address bar. Then the refresh symbol showed up and it stopped refreshing. Each time I search the internet and go back to the home page it does this. I tried clearing the internet cash and data, and shutting the phone off, but the problem is still there.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Here's an update. I signed out of google. I was signed in with my gmail account. When i signed out, the constant refresging problrm stopped. I signed back in to google using a different account I have. It is a yahoo email account. The refreshing problem was not there. I signed out and signed back in using gmail and the problem returned. I repeated this a few times with the same result.

So the problem is only when logged in to google with the gmail account.

I encountered the same problem yesterday & today it's still present.
Started using CHROME until this problem is fixed.

Anyone here have other models of phones that this is happening with?

My wife has the same phone as me and it has the same problem.

Somehow I was able to get back to the old version of google home page on my phone. I tried going into settings, the task manager, sync, and everywhere I could to see what was causing this.

One thing I found while looking at all the internet app settings, and I don't remember where, was a setting that let me get rid of a backup version. When I checked to delete it gave me a warning something like 'that this was just a backup of an old version and would not hurt to leave it.'
I can't find where it was again, and I'm not sure if that is what got me back to the stable version of google home page.

I tried to get my wifes phone fixed like I did mine, but I can't find that option I mentioned.

The old one I was some how able to get back to is the one with more tabs and log in/ log out at the bottom. I checked the address bar on both and they are the same. How can they have the exact same web address but work differently. Did this happen from an update to Google or the Android software???

In this reply, I tried attaching 2 pictures of our google home pages to show you the difference. (didn't work, I'll put them on the next post) The new one with a problem has the log in box at the upper right with a square 'face' log in icon. It only has web and image tabs.

I looked at the Internet All info. They are both the same version. 4.0.4-1535VRALHE.

What the hec is the difference. Why are we getting different Google home pages when the settings look the same. And how did I get back to the stable version?

I'll try attaching them again. I resized them smaller. Not really sure if I'm doing it right!

My wife is also having this issue. Restarting did not help. I cleared the cache, tried again it had me relog into gmail, problem returned. I hope someone is looking into this

I have Verizon, but I haven't had a chance to get to the Verizon dealer where I bought the phone. Has anyone got to ther dealer yet to see what they say?

Mine started doing this exact same thing yesterday morning. I thought I did something. Oh well, off to use Firefox or something until they fix it.

Someone w/an HTC REZOUND just posted that they're experiencing the same issue. Best guess would be GOOGLE'S looking into this.
