On my laptop through WiFi I get anything up to 20mb, but when I switchtwitch to wired connection I should be getting 60mb,but most of the time I'm getting 9.3 mb? Sometimes I get 60mb.

I know it ain't my supplier cuz I have a wired connection downstairs and when I connect my laptop to that I straight get 60mb. It ain't my wire cuz I've tried it on my 2nd laptop and that does the same.

Linux :D

Seriously it may not be your connection but it could be your providers connection or where you are trying to download from. What people don't seem to realize with Network speed is no matter how fast a connection you have if you are downloading something from me then your connection is only as fast as I can send it that means (for sake of old modems) if you have a 56k modem and I have a lesser 14.4 modem your 56k is only going to achieve speeds of my 14.4

I'm not downloading anything, I'm running these tests on speedtest.net./ispreview

What I mainly use the wired connection for is my ps3, playing online, I find my ps3 on WiFi will have same problem, only sometimes when wired it will be fast on 5 bar connection picking up online.

Wanna fix this as friends come over to mine to watch euro 2012, streaming on either ITV player/bbc player to watch games. Wanna use that 60mb :)

Also I got the new super hub from virgin- if that makes any difference, live in UK

I've got a "superhub". It's a bag of crap. Worst piece of kit I've used. If you have another router, stick the hub into modem mode is my advice.

^ yeh i agree this, new hub signal is terrible even weaker than the one

only thing is that i dont have another one, might have to buy one.

recommend any

I'll be honest, I still haven't been bothered to set my old router back up in series with the superhub as a modem. That said, it was much better and that is a really old Linksys WRT54G.

Essentially, I always would recommend Linksys or Netgear, but since the superhub is a really cheap branded netgear, I would have to say Linksys.

Netgear are better than the superhub - dont get me wrong. It just annoys me that they made that piece of kit so poor. Yes, ok its free. Great. I prefered my Modem / Router set up. Its just procrastination for me.

Well I have a week off, so maybe I should sort that out
