I don't want to pay the $15 a month fee for using wifi tether and internet via usb. So I use the root workaround with Wifi tether. ,but my pc is placed in my basement and my phone gets little signal there. I tried going the room above ,but no dice. So is there a internet to usb app that I could use to hook up to my router which would then boost the signal so my pc could connect to it? or is there a way to boost my phone's wifi output signal?

it needs a connect from the host is there a way then that I could direct the internet to my router from my pc?

If you have another PC. Connect the sharing to that one PC and wire it to your router as the WAN source. Enable the ICS for that PC to the router over the LAN sharing the mobile connection. The router will work as normal taking the shared internet form the pc.

I successfully did this just playing around at our lake house where we do not have internet. Not the best of situations but i was able to logon to Xbox live from an xbox using this method.

Also there are now routers that will do this directly from a phone, but of course require you to buy a new router and accessories http://support.asus.com/FAQ/Detail....CC0E-5F67-85F7D3FB48E4&p=11&m=RT-N66U (VER.B1).

I don't have that option so I'll do the pc sharing thing

Thanks
