We really don't have a lot of information to go on here: what device you have, what network, anything. It sounds like you're not connected to the network, though, either by wireless or wifi.
If nothing is getting "out there" to the internet, then check a couple of things: make sure you're not in Airplane mode (which cuts off all radios) in Settings; and make sure you can connect using a wifi connection. If you can do that, then the SIM or carrier radio is in question and I recommend you speak to the wireless provider. I hope this helps.
