Intro and stuff

Hi All,

Just picked up a Samsung Captivate and looking to get some assistance on it. Unable to get it to connect to my pc via USB, but other than that I rather like it.

Anyhoo, about me: I live in Canada (west coast) and work in Africa. So the advanced features of a smartphone are quite important to me.

The Samsung KIES software can sometimes be problematic. Try connecting using different USB ports on the phone. If this doesn't resolve the problem, try uninstalling the software, rebooting the computer, and reinstalling the KIES software.
