Intro / Help

Hi all, Great place to be.

I (tech rookie) just installed Froyo on my x8 following instructions given here. Everything went fine. But after installation i got to the Google registration part and was unable to get a signal to connect. Is there a way around this?

Sorry if muddling up the introduction with help request is not exactly tech-etiquette.
