Intro / Question About Battery Life

Rewt

Newbie
Hey guys,
First off I want to make this partly a short intro post. I used to have an iPhone but switched to Virgin Mobile and got an Optimus Elite a few weeks ago. Aside from a few minor things, it blows my old iPhone out of the water. Anyways, until now I've been just lurking on the forums and following the rooting processes and just now decided to make an account. Also, I'm a windows programmer (with a decent Linux and Java knowledge) and think I will start to programming some Android apps soon (I was going to develop iOS apps when I had my iPhone but Objective-C is terrible).

Anywho, I just had a side question about my battery life. The stock battery monitor right now has my battery breakdown as 37% cell standby, 30% phone idle, 29% wifi, and 5% display.
Also, I have an app called Badass Battery Monitor. It breaks down my battery as 3.1% screen, 23% phone radio, 18% wifi, but 53% app usage. Further breaking down app usage their are 3 apps that it says are sucking all the power (17% each): Android System, Dialer, and Camera360. When I click on any of them, they all say "Accelerometer: 4h 16m 42s". This isn't getting picked up by the stock app, so I'm not sure which (stock app or BBM) is telling the truth. Also, if BBM is right (that they are draining the battery by checking the accelerometer), is there any way to fix that?

I'm not sure if I explained that clearly, so if I didn't, let me know and I will try to clarify.

Thanks,
John
