Intro - With a Question

[marqmax]

What's up my fellow Droids. I'm somewhat new here. Created my account a while ago. But just now becoming active in the forum. Looking to get the scoop on all things Android. Just upgraded from my Hero to the Evo. My roommate is telling me to root my phone. I understand that it unlocks the full capabilities of the phone...but at the expense of security. any ideas or feedback?

Try asking your fellow evo users and they can tell you best the awesome capabilities of your phone once you root.

Welcome to Android forums though, glad to decide to join the conversation!!
