I'm a new Evo owner, and new to 3g on smartphones (4G in my area is "available" but rarely usable). Previous smartphones I've used have been for PDA and apps only (e.g. mapping and GPS) with wifi. Long-time PC and other computers user, and lately a Macbook.
My main interests include so far (besides reliable phone & data service) are GIS/mapping, music, e-books, travel apps. I'm also interested in experimenting with transcoded video, as time permits.
