Hello All-
New to the Forums, and for the most part new to the Android World. I have a MyTouch 3g, bought it about 4 months ago as an unofficial upgrade to my HTC Dash 3G.
I was drawn to the Android OS by the sheer boredom created by the Windows OS of my previous phone, I'm happy with my decision.
I'm very interested in the idea of Rooting and being able to manipulate my OS but don't want to jump into anything until I have a better understanding of all aspects involved.
My experience thus far includes downloading a couple File Managers, Task Managers, and Security Programs. I've managed to get a little understanding of my phones storage capacity and space utilization.
I've also been using PDaNet to tether my phone to my laptop, overcome a few obsticles on that path that I figured out myself.
My next step is to learn more about how to really maximize my phones potential, hopefully I can find some entry level advice on how to go about doing so on the Forums here....I would openly accept and appreciate any recommendations on a good starting point for someone at my level.
I plan on buying a second phone to experiment on, maybe the same phone not sure yet though....
