Intro... :)

Hey guys. i am Manoj Lovell... and im actually new to this "Android" so i just registered to get some knowledge in this area.

Thank you

oh thank you all,

actually telling when i got this phone the the settings shows that
Android version 2.3.7
CyanogenMod-7.2.2-RC3-dRoidace

i wonder if i could downgrade this to Gingerbread 2.3.4 cz with this existing version i cannot install many apps cz the internal memory is totally absorbed by this version i guess

:) Yes i have tried that also.. but my main issue is compared to my friends phone we both have same model and same capacity of external memory. but still after installing a few apps in SD Card when i check the internal memory its very low as sometimes it goes to 20mb but. my friends phone he has a lot of apps in the phone but still the phone is fast and internal is up to 60mb. only difference is that my phone is CM 7.2 and his one is 2.3.4. can it be the reason? im not sure

I'm not an expert on ROMs or rooting, but CM7 could be the cause of low space maybe.
You could check in your devices All Things Root section as the members there have way more knowledge than I. :)

Hi, once again im having another question. :)

would you know about updating firmware for Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i. the existing firmware in Gingerbread 2.3.3 and the Camera is not working is there a way that i can update the OS or is there a way that we can get the camera to work in the same firmware?

Thank you.

I think it would be best to unroot the device first before trying to update it, but if you're unrooted you could try a factory reset to see if this fixes the camera issue. :)

:)Actually im not sure if the device is rooted or not. and may be the updating process and others may be different compared to Samsung i guess. and also... you know something, when i transfer a file to the phone using bluetooth and when i try to locate it on the phone its no where. :( may be its a bit mess up.

Questions.
1- easier way to find out if the device is rooted?
2- is there a proper non bug update for this device other than 2.3.3?

Thank you guys.

Well, you said you have CM7 which is a ROM for rooted devices. I think a way to tell if it's rooted is by seeing if it has the Super User app. Since it has CM7 then I believe it's rooted. :)
Not really sure about a proper non-bug update for that device, but I'm sure the members in your devices section will know. :)
