I want to submit a question, but I'm not allowed until I introduce myself. Hi, I'm GreyWorm. I have Galaxy S3. I upgraded from the S Facinate. hate the new keyboard, and what is up with the touch screen sensitivity? Anyhow, I have an important question to ask. See other posts..

Welcome GreyWorm, glad that you could join this awesome community!

First off, the touch sensitivity, if bad, could mean a bad phone, and you should return it, and get a new one, otherwise there are tons of apps for keyboards out there you could try like, Swiftkey or Swype

Hope this helps!!! :D:D

Welcome, you could also check in your device forum, and also take a look at Swiftkey from the play store, it is a great keyboard.

The touch sensitivity is so delicate, I seem to only have to hover my finger near an app launcher for it to work. I'm scared to even breathe hard near the phone.

I'll check out Swiftkey. I just don't understand why they messed with Swype in the first place. It wasn't perfect, but at least when it learned new words, I could clear the cache and make it forget the one time I spelled "teh" instead of "the." Also, for some reason it refuses to recognize "he's" or "she's" when I swipe, but my husband's has no problem. And why the hell is punctuation on a different screen?! And why do I have to have predictive text to use it? It's slowing me down.

Basically, i remember with my first smartphone, a Droid Incredible, it took me so long to having just a screen, no qwerty keyboard to use if i got frustrated, it took me a long time, and i hated on screen typing because i have big fingers and i would constantly be hitting the wrong keys and such, so i finally went with Swype, and i fell in love because i might be hitting all the wrong keys but somehow it knows what words i want :)

Good luck with your phone GreyWorm :D
