Lurker
"Hi" (as requested)
I'm a 70-year-old ex IBMer who used to support mainframe hardware and software years ago. I'm retired and live at the north Oregon coast, not far from the Tillamook cheese factory.
I purchased my first smart phone, a Droid X, last November, and was (and still am) amazed at its capabilities.
Based on testimonials from friends I've decided that I should indulge myself and buy a tablet. After reading many reviews I've more or less fallen in love with the Asus Transformer, and I'm anxiously awaiting its release in a store I can get to without having to leave the country (USA).
Besides my interest in Android I was fortunate to have married the world's best woman (she's not going to complain about spending the money for the Asus!).
I'll be mainly asking questions about Android and Android apps, but especially focused on the Asus Transformer.
Once again, "Hi!"
