Hello everyone, I am new to the whole rooting thing, which is why I am here! I hope to learn how to root a samsung prevail 2.3.6 without bothering you guys that much, or bricking my phone! lol

You sure aren't bothering us. It's great to have you here. We have an area just for your Prevail where the users hang out and exchange tips and tricks. It has a sub forum just for rooting the device. I will leave you a link to the root area so you can read up. Ask questions if you have them. Just remember that rooting isn't a race.
