I hope to make contact with the phone using puppy linux. I want to be able to delete some apps that seem to have too much access and privilege. This is definitely a great place to listen and learn. I'm not too familiar with the Chinese knock offs but there is this (Other Phones (Android & Non-Android) - Android Forums) forum where I believe folks talk about them as well as the Android Lounge (Android Lounge - Android Forums) where a lot of general android discussion goes on.

Good luck with your venture, sometimes buying cheap model end up costing you more money because they end us being useless, always remember you get what you pay for. With that being said, your option would be to somehow root the phone to get to be on your proper language.
