I bought my Droid eris just before Christmas and believe it is a miracle. Really like it.
Just this week, I was offered the chance to update to android-2.1 and I did it. It's a lot different and at first I thought it was a great improvement. However, some things don't work right.
I had been using quickoffice to read several books and large files in .txt format as well as some smaller files. Now, with 2.1, I find quickoffice cannot handle even the small files well and chokes entirely on large files. This morning it took 78 seconds to load a 30 k file. It was over 10 minutes trying to load a 300k file.
Can we expect a corrected quickoffice app sometime soon or who would know?
