My name is Jerry Yurow and I am a newbie Android developer taking an O'Reilly video course in programming in Java for Android. I am also the owner of two Android based smartphones: a Sprint HTC EVO that I use all the time and a Motorola that I won in a raffle when I enrolled in the O'Reilly course. I do not use the Motorola as a telephone, however, because it will only work with Verizon service, however, as I explain below, I am now using it with a Wakemate app to collect sleep-movement data because its Bluetooth works properly with the Wakemate app
, but the EVO Bluetooth does not
.
I understand that this forum is mainly for introductions, but as I am a newcomer, would you direct my problem to the proper forum?
Thank you.
My problem is this:
My HTC EVO Bluetooth pairs with with both my phone and with a data collection device embedded in a wristband for the Wakemate app. The EVO Bluetooth also connects with the phone for hands-free voice, but fails to connect with the data collection device. I have paired the data collection device with Bluetooth on the Motorola and it connects perfectly. Any ideas about why the data collection device will not connect to my HTC EVO? Any thoughts about how to remedy this?
