invisble shield?

My friend has an X10 also and has a nice screen protector on it. the difference with this protector is that it has a 'matte' finish to it.

it has a sort of frosty feel to it. its almost like small finger print type feel. amazing! she said it was invisible shield brand. but I called a store here and they said for the x10 , it is a very smooth finish to it. not matte at all. basically just like the factory one they put on the x10 anyways.

anyone have info on this kind of protector? its tough to describe it.

thanks

i had a Zagg Invisiblesheild protector on my first X10 and tbh i thought it was shit.
its glossy but had a rubbery feel to it which i hated. i'm sure its great for stopping scratches but it didnt feel nice to use so i would never buy one of them again, pretty expensive too from what i remember.

the cheap plastic ones seem to be the best i have found, glossy and feel a bit plasticy but they work and very cheap so you can replace them more often.

the problem I have is i have pretty sweaty hands and fingers (dont ask haha)

so i get a fine layer or gunge on my screen and after a while you can actually feel it built up. its definitely a hindrance when using the phone, especialy sliding the unlock bar along the bottom. but my friend protector was amazing with the matte finish. was smooth but it was a regular smooth like plain glass feel. had like almost a skin finger print feel to it. ill ask her again...

anymore input from you guys would be amazing

if you find out from her, let us know. i wouldnt mind giving something like that a try aswell

You want an anti finger print screen protector, had one and disliked it...

Was like looking through a frosted glass window all the time, but its what your after and they work very well as I do hate a smeared screen but could not get on with the textured look.

I have bad feelings about Invisible Shield products. The material is very rubbery. Your finger doesn't slide freely about the screen, it sticks and jumps. Also, the material has a tendency to yellow over time. When I first got my x10, I installed a full body Invisible Shield to keep it protected. The cut of the pieces was a bit off, with lines impressed horizontally across the screen protector. Called the company and was sent a replacement but still had lines in it. I think it's a problem with the production process. I'm on ATT and last time I went into a store, they were selling 3 packs of screen protectors for $4.99 because the x10 has reached its EOL at ATT. Many suitable screen protectors are available through ebay. Just my 2 cents...

but aside from the problems you had, was it a matte finish to it or glossy smooth?

thats what I want to know. if invisible shield comes in 2 styles. the really smooth glass like finish or the 'orange peel' matte yet still glossy finish?

the zagg one is gloss, rubbery and ends up looking orange peely. i wouldnt call it matte at all. if you get sweaty fingers they grip the screen instead of gliding smoothly lol
most expensive and worst screen protector i ever bought, they said is was scratch proof but i tested it with my key and scratched it pretty bad.
