I recently moved from an iPhone 4S to an HTC One. While the switch to a different platform has been fairly good so far, there are some items that I either need to get used to or find workarounds.
One of the best apps that I took for granted on iOS was the mail app. It allowed me to combine all of my various email accounts from different vendors into one combined inbox. I know that the stock Android Mail app does this, but the notifications are very lacking. I like the fact that it does show on the icon how many new mail items that I have, but when I go in and open the app to see what mail I received, it removes the notification from the icon, so I don't know if I have any more unread messages. I don't always have the time or inclination to respond or delete emails the moment I open the app, so this can become a hassle.
I don't know if there is a mail app out there that has a good notification system like the iOS app, but if there is please let me know. I understand that there might not be one out there, and I will have to rely on the notification dropdown to see what emails I have not responded to.
Any help would be appreciated.
