ip cameras and associated apps

I need to install a pan/tilt camera in my home as my 92 year old mo in law will be here by herself for two weeks. Her permission and blessing from my oldest daughter who is functionally NOW the parent. Want to hard wire this, so that my router is not on the air for two weeks have a N300 Belkin router

I'm thinking of such models as but really am ASKING, cause i'm a genuine NEWB!!:captain:

not high end but some along this line should be sufficient What apps will allow me both to view and control the camera

You can check on the Google Play store. I'm sure I saw a few applications that could do what you are lookin for.

Hard-wire the camera to what?

Your phone? (You'd have to be at the phone, which would have to be wired to the camera, meaning that it would be easier to just use your eyes?

The internet? Not without a modem, at least.

Something else?
