iPhone 5 vs Galaxy S3

- Galaxy Note 2- Think the S3 on steroids- bigger and better. I'm pretty sure it's coming on Verizon. But it's got a 5.3" screen- not everybody likes that.

- Galaxy S3 mini- it has a 4.1" screen if the current screen size is too big, but I'm not sure if it will be on Verizon.

- HTC dlx- a 5" screen phone- don't know if it will be on Verizon

- upcoming Nexus phones- don't know if it will be on Verizon

- you should take a look at the recently released Motorola phones as well.

Verizon already got Galaxy Stellar with 4" screen, 1.2Ghz dual S4 chip, 1Gb RAM a few weeks ago. To me that looks like S3 mini.

It is purely preference, but I will tell you that you need to understand a lot of things will not work in the Android world, coming from a Mac world, you just need to decide whether or not you are willing to accept it.

I don't really understand this statement. I went from an iPhone 4s to a SGS3 and see no problems at all. Now, admittedly I am not heavily invested inhe Apple "World" as the iPhone is the only product I had. Still, if you keep an open mind, I think you will find that the S3 is by far the more versatile phone. As far as I'm concerned, not having the iCloud is a GOOD thing. I hated it. It worked fine but it was just kiddy stuff. Google's cloud is far more robust in my opinion and just looks better but that's my opinion obviously. As for iTunes - so what. I have nothing at all against it but I had no problems moving away from it to any of the other options available. Of course, here again, I am not a big music fiend. I listen to it and enjoy it but it is not a big thing to me. I'm more about productivity and cloud services and Google does that in spades. Like one other poster, I also prefer the much bigger screen of the S3 - life does that to you when you get older :p

One last note: Do NOT get caught up in chasing the next greatest phone. You can't do it. No matter what you choose, you will be behind before you get it home. Just choose the one that best gives you what you need right now. I was constantly getting caught up in that. Now that Ihave my S3, I find that there simply isn't anything out there right now that has my eye wandering. The Note 2 looks fine but we'll save that for another day. The one I have is going to be good for a long time to come.

For the music people out there you can get a 32gig micro sd card off Amazon for $19.00 or a 64gig micro sd card form $40.00 to $50.00 depending on witch one you pick. I got the 32gig on, but I use mine more for pics and video. For the little bit of music I have, I just put it on the sd card and play over my car speakers thanks to the bluetooth. I'm not a fan of apple at all and will never use their products ever again, but I'm sure there are a bunch of apps in the play store that will let your Android work with apple services.
