Help iPhone incompatible with Vivid

So for giggles I tried to pair my old iPhone 3GS with my Vivid. iPhone claimed (with a huff, I imagine) that it wasn't compatible with it. Really? Just the Vivid or all things Droid?
 
I can understand with apps. But exchanging files? But then again I suppose if file systems are completely different ...

Bluetooth File Transfer (OBEX) is not supported in iOS, so you you couldn't tranfer files between an iPhone and an Android anyway.
