iPhone now supports video calling with Skype..

It sucks that we had to wait so long for a skype app, and when we got that app it didn't even support video calls.. which pissed me off cuz that was why I got a phone with a front facing camera.. Android market needs to step up if they really wanna compete with the AppStore.

But anyways.. does anyone know when video calling with Skype will be supported?

This will likely be addressed within 2 weeks at CES:

I've got several friends and relatives scattered across the globe who have iPhones and Macs, and by extension 'Facetime' (free video calling from any iPhone or Mac to any iPhone or Mac). All of them have tried it once or twice when Facetime became available. And it works like a charm. But none of them have used it since, they tell me, because they "rarely need it".

I get the strong impression that although videocalling is/can be fun, it hardly adds anything really useful to daily life. Except for grandmothers.

I totally agree with this sentiment. I travel all over the world and use Skype extensively...rarely do I use the video portion of it though. Some people will argue otherwise and they will make good points. Ultimately we all use things differently and many people use the video part of skype. To me, it is a novelty....IMO.
