iphone, wirefly, t mobile?

Hi. I want to purchase a free phone from wirefly for t-mobile and then put the SIM card in my unlocked iPhone 3GS. Would this violate the wirefly contract? I read that you cant transfer numbers when you purchase through wirefly. Does this mean that you cant put your SIM into a phone that it didn't come with? I know this isnt an iphone forum but i couldnt think of anywhere else to ask this. Thanks for any help!

You can put the SIM in anything you want that will take a T-Mobile SIM, you just can't have your number changed through them (as you stated). They get a commission from the sale and activation, but there are no requirements that you use the device they sold you.

I have done this before with them.
