Help Iphones cant send me texts

Ever since switching from T-Mobile with an Iphone to Straight Talk with a Samsung Galaxy a few friends with Iphones every once in awhile can not send me texts. They either won't send or they send but I don't get them. Is there anything I can do on my end to end their suffering??

Before you stopped using the iPhone, did you de-register Apple iMessage? Possibly all the iPhone users' texts are still going to iMessage, Apple iOS devices only, which the Samsung won't receive.

There is now a way to de-register without still having the iPhone (a Web search will find it - this page seems to have instructions: http://support.vodafone.com.au/arti...vate-iMessage-if-you-re-switching-from-iPhone).

For several years you could only do it if you still had the iPhone - Apple knew about it but did nothing until lawsuits were imminent, presumably because many people assumed their new phone was at fault and switched back (probably bad-mouthing the other platform in the process) so it suited them to let it continue.
