What TV is it, because if it's WiFi connected, there might be a remote app from the manufacturer you can install and use.

The Konka TV I've got here, I can just install their remote app direct from their website, either Android or iOS. And it controls the TV via the WiFi network, using my phone.

There are a bunch of accessories to turn your headphone jack into an IR Blaster. Here's one on Ebay. Shop around though there are less expensive models that do the same thing.
