Help Irc not working when on 4g?

I don't know what's going on, maybe its limited to ports? It works fine under 1x, but under 4g it never connects. Any help?

The plan you're on matters. Metro blocks services based on whether you're on the $40, $50, or $60 plan - only the $60 plan is really unlimited (Metro is a good deal what?).

There may be something odd going on with your phone or area, as others connect to IRC via mobile rather often.

I'd double-check your plan with Metro, because it sounds like you're configured for a cheaper plan than you actually have. Improper LTE provisioning.

FWIW, I connect to IRC all the time on my Indulge on 4G. Doing it right now in fact. And I'm on the $50 plan, I believe.*

* Long story, but I thought I was grandfathered on the $60 plan for $50/mo, only to find out I've been on the $50 plan all along. Or maybe not now...?

Nah, I'm on metro now because I lack funds, but I needed a phone a year ago and chose verizon over sprint.
