is 8gb internal storage enough for a phone?

I'm going to get the motorala moto g from cricket in a few days and I was wondering if 8GB internal storage space is enough for apps/games only? I'm not the type of person who puts pictures,videos, and music on their phone so I should be fine right? How much space would you guess I'm actually gonna have when I get the phone? Also, if you had/have the moto g, how is it??

The Moto G has about 5GB of free space out of the 8GB total. With no videos or music that probably will be enough, but it depends what apps/games you install. Some 3D games are 500MB+ each while basic games are 5MB.

8 gig is a decent amount but it really is going to depend on your games and how much data they store. I have the Razr M so can't tell ya much about the g

Personally, I would go for a phone with more internal memory, at least 16GB, If you plan on keeping the phone for a few yrs. (Go bigger.) Also, keep in mind any software updates could be a few 100MB of space. Also, if its running KK, you can't move apps to SD card anymore. You might want to check to see how much space is allocated for apps only. (Meaning you might only get a few GB of apps storage.)

On a phone running the unified storage model none of the space should be reserved for apps only. Some will be allocated for system and cache, but that's been answered above.

I only have a small handful of apps and no media aside from maybe a dozen photos. There's maybe 2Gb left. If this is your primary phone (it's not for me) most definitely go with the 16Gb model.
