Hey guys, I'm about to download Clash of Clan APK on my Xiaomi Redmi note 7 because I can't download this game directly on Google Play due to geo-restrictions. I'm wondering whether APK files are safe or not? Does it contain viruses? Please help me!

Try apkmirror.com it's a trusted site. Although if CofC is locking you out because of IP address geo-restrictions, you'll need to use a VPN to play it.

In general, we may get the apk from the official website of some famous app if we can't actually get it from the Google Play for some reason. It is safe and reliable.

It depends. If you download APK files from unknown source (eg just click a random link on the internet), your device's likely to be infected by malware and virus which are inserted into those APK files. However, there're still some reliable sites specializing in providing free and safe APK files like apkTovi and apkpure.
