Is Android Market down?

I'm unable to download anything from the market this afternoon - is anyone else having problems?

I wonder if it has to do with the new Google Maps update?

Me too... just factory reset my phone to try and fix it too So I lost all of my apps and can't install them

Oh I'm glad I read this before I did a factory reset of my phone. I only just got my phone back from being repaired last weekend so I was furious when the market place stopped working!

I read a solution elsewhere that fixed the problem for me:

Go to settings/applications/manage applications/running applications

select the market, clear the cache then re-attempt the download

Market is now back up and running. It was a known issue and fixed by Google.
