I want a guide to rooting my Kyocera hydro icon phone. With detail so I won't screw anything up, so if you know how to root phones can you please help? These forums be over dead BTW.

Yea I did, I put the phone in debugging mode & connected it to my PC, but the kingo program kept saying 'not connected' & connect server failed.

I also downloaded that file on my phone because I don't have WiFi to do it on my PC, & transfered the file onto my PC.. & installed it. I'm wondering if my PC needs to be connected to WiFi, that may be the problem.

I have had this happen to me.Downloaded something to phone and transferred to pc.And it wouldn't work.
Let me do some more looking.

It's an apk file,Just download it to your phone and install it,and open and run it.
Then if your lucky to be rooted,You can uninstall Framaroot.

No, trying to down load the file though is giving me trouble.
