Is anybody picking this up?

Try contracting motorola directly. I read an article that said it's a motorola promotion, not att.

I'll emailed motorola and they emailed me back saying there is no free car dock promotion. If I could provide an official motorola link they would honor it. The only links I have found have not been from at&t or motorola. Not complaining its still a great phone.

Okay, I read through an article and it does look like it's an ATT promotion:

Motorola Atrix HD official, headed to AT&T with 4G LTE for $99.99 | PhoneDog

So, maybe you can call around to see if any of the ATT's are willing to ship to you, if your local ATT isn't doing the promotion.

I got mine at Best Buy for $54 and change with tax, went to the ATT corp store and got my free car dock. SO I GOT THE DEAL. Car dock is awesome too.

So far really love this phone.

I'm hoping they'll do the same type of promotion for the Motorola Photon Q. Even though that won't be my primary phone, this would be ideal for the person I'm getting the Photon Q for.

I will chime in again after my first full day with the phone. Honestly I can't say enough about it. Feels great in the hand, form factor is superb. Feels like a quality device yet still light and agile. Screen is fantastic, crisp, clear, bright pleasing color presentation ... I can't get over the improvement (screen wise) from the Atrix 4G. Speed is great, both the processor and ram in the phone and the LTE connectivity is fantastic here in KC. All around the phone performs like a champ. The circle widget is a REALLY nice add on and I really enjoy the moto/ICS interface as well.

All in all, 40 hours in I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. For $50 (at Best Buy) this is quite possibly the deal of the century. I can't believe I got this much phone for a quarter of what I paid for my Atrix 4G a year and a half ago. I am thrilled.

If you have the means I highly recommend you go out and pick one up.
:D

I just picked mine up Monday, and so far I'm very impressed. It's bright, fast, smooth, and feels great in my hand (and I like the look of it better than the SIII or One X). It's a great deal for a phone with the same SoC (CPU/GPU) and screen resolution, only $50 at Best Buy. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes!

My only complaints so far (and I'm watching to see if they're real problems or not) are:
1. The wi-fi seems to cut out easily if the signal is weak (my Captivate had a stronger signal in some areas of my house/work)
2. The battery doesn't seem to last very long but I've been playing with it a LOT
3. The camera is just OK, not as rich in color as my SGS - things sometime look a little blue. It does have a burst mode and a panorama mode, as well as a selection of scene modes and effects.

Pluses:
1. GPS is AWESOME! (I had a Captivate before this, but even with the SUPL modification it was a bit slow.)
2. ICS is great, face unlock works well.
3. Fast!
4. Nice screen

I also picked this phone up.....and im really happy with it.... everything is just so simple.... on it.....i love the stock ics feel........the only thing that im having a problem with..... which i believe someone mentioned already is the wifi.....keeps coming on and off.....and iguesss the battery life (keep a charger in your pocket)....other then that im really suprised....im glad i got it

Regarding the wifi signal, that seems to be a very similar issue that I've had with my Photon. They've fixed it slightly, through updates, but still not as strong as I had experienced with HTC, Samsung or LG.

One thing that I love on the Photon, but I'm not sure if it's standard for Motorola devices in general, is the Battery Saving settings that it has built into the phone. There are different modes you can use or you can even customize the modes based on your daily usage. It's a great feature that has been perfect for my Photon and gets me through an entire 12 hour work day, prior to needing a charge.

The wifi thing is definitely a moto issue. I have the razr maxx and I could be standing next to my router and it fluctuates, quite a bit. The S3 I just picked up does not do this odd behavior. In fact, standing in my back yard, the wifi signal is strong on the S3

I too picked one up at Best Buy..........how did you get ATT to give you the dock?

Long story short it was mass confusion. (Not intentional)

I gave my wife my upgrade back in December to get her Atrix 2, so I used her upgrade to get my HD. When best buy set it up they ended up killing my wifes sim card. I called ATT and they said to go to the ATT corp store and get a new sim. We went and after explaining to the guy that I had gotten the phone on release day (never said where) and what had happened he got my wifes phone fixed. I asked him while he was getting her new sim set up about the dock that was supposed to be free, he hadn't heard about it and was not even sure they had the dock. So he looks it up sees the free deal and that they have 3 docks, so he goes and grabs me one and voids out the price.

It was kind of amazing how it worked out.

I dropped the phone and cracked the screen. :(

I'd like to add that I dropped my One X in the same manner (fell of the couch to a 3 feet drop, flat on the screen) and nothing happened to it. The Atrix HD fell once, flat on its front and I got 5 cracks on it.

I know its my fault for dropping it but damn the screen is weak lol.

This phone is by far the best Android phone ive ever had..ive had all on the not so now network and Verizon and this beats them all
