Help Is anyone else having this problem?

I am trying to use my phone as an mp3 player in my truck. I bought a 3.5mm to 2.5mm stereo adapter and Aux cable and I plug that into my mp3/AUX jack in my truck and all I get is sound out of One speaker. I used my ipod before without any problems, the only difference is the adapter.

Any suggestions?

if you search the webz you can find the unique adapter however since the 2.5mm female plug on the i1 is proprietary I suggest ensuring the seller is aware of the need and the difference between the average 2.5 plug and the nextel plug (there is an extra ring in there). the other option is to buy a bluetooth adaptar for you car stereo and just stream adp2.

I went to radioshack the and just other day and just picked one up for $10 and some change. don't remember the product name but it's flexible and I have had zero problems with it thus far.
If Im out that way ill stop in there(gotta buddy who works there) and will get the exact name for ya.

I have this same problem, bought two different 2.5 to 3.5 adapters, one with 2 rings, one with 3, and BOTH seem to output only mono audio......

WTF I am seriously in need of help here :/
