Hi All,
My Requirement: I want to use a tablet (Android 4.0) and send print command to a legacy printer (dot-matrix printer) which is connected via USB.
What i have: I have Linux drivers of the printer.
Apps available?: Most of the apps are focused to the printers of new generation (e.g. Wifi Printers) and the only printer app which speaks about USB printing is PrinterShare, i still have to test the app using USB. PrinterShare uses its account and its application which needs to be installed on PC and the print command passes from Wifi through PrinterShare account to PrinterShare PC application to printer/network printer.
I wanted to understand, Can i use the Linux driver, hire a developer to create an app which will connect printer to the tablet directly and print.
Waiting for some feedback,
Thanks,
Amit
