Help Is GS3 going to get JB 4.2

Nexus 4 has already got it i guess, is Galaxy S III going to get the update in future 4.1.2 is the last one for it?
 
Nexus devices will have it as they get the latest updates first (it's also 4.2.2 they currently run, or at least my Nexus 10 does)

I'm pretty certain the S3 will get 4.2 yes.
 
I'm already running leaked 4.2.1 so it's definitely coming for some of us (international)

I'm sure it will eventually but first it's going to be up to Samsung when they release it to your carrier. Then it's up to your carrier when they release it to your phone.
 
root your phone and flash a custom ROM, i'm running AOKP 4.2.2 and love it !
the battery life is awesome !

there are tons of step by step videos on youtube
 
I will wait untill stock update is rolled out.
I just wanted to confirm that 4.1.2 was not the last update we got on GS3
 
Wow that is a hefty update. And are people using this on Verizon already (rooted of course)? And what roms are out there or did Google release this already for the taking, and who is using this on Verizon S3? I'd like to know how it runs. I've never rooted but if it works well then I'd like to give it a go. Don't feel like waiting till December to get it.
 
I know the AOKP ROM is using 4.2. I'm not sure in Cyanogenmod is using 4.2 yet or not. I don't know of any Touchwiz based ROMs using 4.2. Its going to depend on which carrier you are with. Scan through the XDA forums for the AOKP ROM if you want to give it a try.

Do bear in mind this is the Google android change list. As Samsung users, many of the Google android features are replaced with Samsung touchwiz features, meaning we wont see s lot of those changes....

Eg, clock, camera, gallery, keyboard, browser.... all samsung so changes listed are not relevant to us
 
According to SamMobiles, the Galaxy S4, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note II/Note 8.0/Note 10.1 will get Android 5 update. So it is likely to get Android 4.2.2 with TouchWiz on top of it.
