Help Is headphone jack not standard??

The headset that comes with the phone works but if i try to use a regular pair of ear buds or hook it to small pc speakers it wont work, is it a slightly different connection? Looks the same to my eyes?

Dont think so... Ive used a pair of old school Sony headphones that i bought like 12 years ago..

I use my regular headphones with mine. I have a pair I use for traveling on planes and they work with the Infuse. No adapter needed.

Well I tried again and its working so maybe there was lint in the hole or something.
