Is internal memory (not ram) better than SD card memory??

[canuckerr]

Hey everyone,

My question is if internal memory on the phone is better than having external SD memory?
ie. does it affect performance or speed or anything?

I ask this because i'm debating on getting a HTC (incredible s/desire HD) which don't have a lot of internal memory versus samsung nexus S/optimus 3D/moto atrix.

Thanks.

A class 10 card with a good data++ script will be faster than the nand mate

I'm not exactly sure what any of that means?
except for the class 10 part.

I know that class 10 memory cards are good.
So with a class 10 memory card it's fine?

Class 10 is overkill on most phones that are currently on the market. Class 6 is the best you need.

I have the HTC Inspire 4g, the same thing as the Desire HD. I have a 16gig SD card and have not had any troubles. most all my apps are on the SD card as well as all my music and photos.

class 10 memory cards are good for devices that will be recording video or DSLR cameras shooting video or rapid fire burst mode photos.

class 6 and even class 4 will be fine for a phone such as the DesireHD. However you can find class 10 cards at a reasonable price for 16gig
