Is is possible send/receive all sms through an 1 app?

I have an app that pays you for sending sms using your unlimited text plan.
I do not have unlimited text on my phone. Is there a way to make android use a free sms app instead of the carrier's network?

No i mean if say a program wants to send sms messages it goes through a sms app instead of the normal wireless carrier network.

I don't want to be charged minutes for sending text.
