is it bad to

I turned that on once myself but I too thought that had to be bad in some way for the screen. Not burn in per say but more premature burn out.

i guess in the long long long run... it would eventually lead to some failure.

but.. i would think that is many years down the line.. maybe more than 5 yrs... before the screen shows any problems form over usage.

these phones have a life cycle of only up to 2 yrs... maybe at most 4 yrs. must phones are updated...upgraded very quick!

so.. I would not worry to much about it.
but it being on and charging will raise the heat of the phone... and that will cause issues with the life cycle of the battery which might show issues within the phone's normal 2 yr life cycle.

I just let it burn, baby, let it burn.

My screen is always on while charging. Makes it easier to use if I need to use it while it's plugged in. Why bother turning it off, you have all the power of the sun coming in from that magical electrical socket, use it!

That's not very "green" though :)
