Is it just me!!!

Hi. Have got handcent in my HTC Wildfire and could do with a bit of advise.
If I write a text with out putting a contact number in and then come straight out of handcent it states "Message saved as draft".
When I go back, I can get into drafts no probs, but I cant figure out how to put a contact number in, Any ideas on this would be a help.

Normally in these apps if you long press in the window where the contact's name goes it will pop up your keyboard and then you can manually enter the number
