Is it possible to add Weather \ Temperature to Lock Screen, AOD?

DaveHorne

Lurker
I've seen videos on this but it doesn't seem to apply to me. I have a Note 10+, One UI 2.0, Android 10.

On my Lock Screen and Always On Display, I have Time, Date, Battery percentage, and Notification icons displayed. In Settings \ Lock Screen \ FaceWidgets \ I have Weather along with Music, Today's schedule, Next Alarm, enabled. (Bixby is not enabled, nor do I use it.)

The Weather \ Clock widget does not have any applicable settings for me to enable.

So, is it possible for me to have the weather or temperature display on Lock Screen \ AOD ... or not?

I thought I had posted this only to return later and not find it.

Thanks in advance, Dave Horne

I looked at posts I had written last year and was informed that this is an Android only forum and that I should reply in the Samsung forum.

I've already done that ... and if my post here causes any issues, please feel free to delete. I saw this was a Samsung Note 10 forum and had forgotten about my previous posts.

most, if not all sammy phones run on android, so this is the perfect place to ask. we do get from time to time apple questions. i have never owned an apple product and probably never will. those we would refer going to a different forum to ask for help.....so you are good.

as far as aod goes there are a few apps that you can use to customize aod, but i could not find one for the weather. i have a note 10+ and i could not find anything in settings that will allow the weather to be added to aod.

....sorry

I went to the Galaxy Store and downloaded the Weather Channel app for Samsung.

That did the trick, problem solved.

I now see the outside temperature on my AOD, I'm using the Samsung Clear view case.

I'd like to add one more piece of information. There are two versions of The Weather Channel.

I initially had The Weather Channel app from the Google Play Store installed.

In the Galaxy Store, the version of The Weather Channel app states specifically that it's for Samsung.

I added the Weather Channel for Samsung app. I got it to show temperature on my AOD. At the time it was 96 out. Several hours later it is 84 but the AOD still shows 96. Any idea how to get it to update?
