Is it possible to customize Google Now?

I use the gesture where you hold the home button to bring up the Google Now "dome" so I can type in a search term.

Unfortunately the google search bar is at the top of the screen, and it requires an extra long thumb reach to get there. Is there a way to move it down to the bottom?

This is the search bar that has the mic next to it. There is also a bar like this on the home screen. Can this be added to the lock screen?

I basically want to be able to get to a search bar as fast as possible, whether the phone is locked, unlocked, another app is on-screen, etc. FAST FAST FAST

Just hold and drag the search bar to where you want it on the screen. Sense 5.0 permitted the addition of widgets to the lock screen. That capability does not exist with Sense 6.0. I thought it was a great feature.

Hold the home button. The google "dome" appears and then you thumb over the google icon and let go.

The google search bar is at the top, and cant be moved. Or at least I cant, no matter how many combinations I've tried.

What I want is actually the Google Widget.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but is there a way to disable swiping up from the home button to start Google now?

After Google now is open, saying "ok Google" triggers the phone to listen for a command.

Thanks for the link to the voice commands.

I just wish there was a more convenient way to get Google Now to be listening.

Having to open Google Now and then say "OK Google" isn't very user friendly.

It's making me miss my iPhone.
