Help Is it possible to get the Date on the screen display?

Is it possible to get the Date on the screen display? I know the time is on there but I want the date too? Thank you

There is a widget called "extdate" which is available in Android Market and looks great, is configurable as to color, size, etc.

I couldn't imagine any more stuff on my taskbar! If you want subtle, you can use "smaller home widget" in BW.

True. I have most notifications turned off, so it's not so bad, I don't know why but my favorite notification icon is the little twitter bird.

Not to veer too much off topic, but is there a way to get rid of the vibrate icon in the taskbar?? My old phone didn't have that. (it's the indicator that you have vibrate always on. So if you have volume up it still shows. If you have volume off, but vibrate still on, it shows two icons. Really clutters the bar!)

Hmm, I have vibrate always on and I don't have that vibrate icon in the taskbar...weird.

I tried toggling off and back on, but it's still there. Hit "never" and it immediately goes away. Hit "always" and it comes right back.

Back on topic, I just realized that Beautiful Widgets does indeed have a widget just for the date. It is called Beautiful Today. I think this is new bc i have never noticed it before. They also have a separate clock widget. All this in addition to their highly customizable "home" widget which shows weather, time, and date.

Yeah, Beautiful Widgets is one of the better Android apps out there. VERY customizable too.
