Root Is it possible to port HTC widgets to custom roms?

I am torn between two roms I have recently tried and it would be great if I could just port some of the HTC widgets one uses over to the other. Is this possible?
 
Between what two roms? Sense widgets only work on "sense" roms. For aosp roms you can use launcher pro, it has many sense like widgets.
